About this variety
Dorstenia foetida, also known as grendelion, is a compact caudiciform plant in the mulberry family. It develops a swollen base, variable foliage, and distinctive shield-like flower structures. Seed-grown plants naturally differ in leaf shape, markings, and mature form.
Sow on the surface of a clean, porous mix made for succulent or caudiciform plants. Press the seeds into the surface and cover them only lightly. Keep the medium warm and evenly moist without standing water. Bright filtered light and gentle air movement help maintain a stable environment. If a humidity cover is used, ventilate it regularly and remove it gradually once seedlings are established.
Water young seedlings carefully around the root zone. As growth becomes stronger, allow the upper part of the mix to begin drying between waterings. Protect developing plants from cold, prolonged saturation, and abrupt exposure to intense midday sun. Move seedlings into individual small pots only after they can be handled without disturbing the young roots.
Package contents: 20 seeds. SKU: CAC4. Keep unopened seed cool and dry until sowing. Germination timing and final plant appearance depend on seed condition and on temperature, moisture, light, ventilation, and care.
