About this variety
Radish Palak Patta (Radicula Palak Patta) seeds for garden cultivation.
Palak Patta radish produces lush, dark green leaves that are broad, tender, and smooth-textured, closely resembling spinach. The plants grow 30–40 cm (12–16 inches) in height, forming a dense canopy of nutritious foliage. The roots are small and secondary in importance, as the primary focus of cultivation is the flavorful greens. Sow seeds directly in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil at a depth of 1 cm (0.5 inches). Keep soil moist but not waterlogged to ensure fast germination within 4–7 days. Thin seedlings to 10–15 cm (4–6 inches) apart to encourage robust leaf development. Prefers cool to moderate temperatures (15–25°C / 59–77°F) for optimal growth. Harvest leaves in 25–35 days, ensuring continuous regrowth for multiple cuttings. Palak Patta radish leaves are widely used in Indian cooking, especially in parathas, stir-fries, curries, and soups. Their mild flavor and tender texture make them a great alternative to spinach or mustard greens. Due to their rapid growth, they provide a sustainable source of fresh greens throughout the season.
Sow according to your local season and climate. Use clean, well-drained growing medium, keep moisture even without waterlogging, and adjust light, temperature, and spacing to the needs of the crop. Germination and plant performance naturally vary with seed treatment, weather, soil, and care.
