Kohlrabi is easy to grow and thrives in well-drained soil with plenty of sunlight. Simply sow the seeds about 1/4 inch deep and 6 inches apart, and keep the soil moist until germination, which usually takes 7-14 days. Once the plants are established, they require minimal care, making them suitable for both novice and experienced gardeners. This variety matures in roughly 60 days, ready to harvest when the bulbs reach 2-3 inches in diameter.
To ensure the longevity and vibrancy of your Kohlrabi, water regularly, and keep an eye out for common pests like aphids. Harvest the bulbs when they are tender and young for the best flavor. Kohlrabi can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. This delightful veggie is not only a nutritious addition to your meals but also a thoughtful gift for garden enthusiasts.
